Shipping, Delivery & Collection FAQ
How much is shipping and local delivery?
Shipping costs depend on the items you've ordered and the country where they're being delivered. You will always see all your delivery options at checkout.
We also allow customers to PICKUP their order, in which case, there is no delivery fee, of course.
Do you ship overseas?
To EU countries: no. Since 18 August 2026 we no longer deliver to addresses in the European Union (any EU member state other than Malta, including EU territories such as Réunion, Guadeloupe, Martinique and Åland). You can still place an order with an EU address, but at checkout you will only be offered collection. Once your order is ready you can collect it from our warehouse in Malta, have someone in Malta collect it for you, or send your own courier or freight forwarder to collect it on your behalf — you book and pay the courier directly, and they collect during our normal collection hours quoting your order number (Mqabba warehouse for IKEA and Bricocenter items, Santa Venera for CASA items). This is a deliberate change, not a checkout error: if your region or province is not listed, it will not be added.
The one exception is The White Stone mattresses, which are still delivered to EU addresses directly by the supplier, with the delivery fee shown at checkout.
To non-EU countries: yes. We ship to most non-EU countries worldwide (including the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Serbia and Turkey) using Maltapost as the carrier. See the next questions for details.
How long will it take to get my order?
-
IKEA products take between 5-14 working days to arrive in our warehouse if they are unavailable in our warehouse but are in stock in Catania.
-
IKEA products that need to be ordered from the Piacenza logistics centre may take up to 5 weeks to arrive in our warehouse.
-
BRICOCENTER products take around two to three weeks to arrive.
Please get in touch if your order hasn't been delivered according to the expected timescales, and we will check your order status.
Which shipping carriers do you use for international deliveries?
Maltashopper uses Maltapost as the international carrier for non-EU destinations (EU addresses are collection only — see "Do you ship overseas?" above). During the checkout process you will be provided with a shipping quote, which is based on the weight of your order: up to 30 kg per order for most countries, and 20 kg for the UK, Switzerland and Norway. Some countries, notably the USA, are not served. Glass, porcelain, ceramic, terracotta and stoneware items are not sold for delivery outside Malta because they cannot survive parcel transit. Just to let you know, not all items are currently stocked in Malta. If you wish to purchase specific items, you must place an order, and we will have them shipped to our warehouse through our standard service. The delivery time from most suppliers to our warehouse is typically 5-14 working days, depending on stock availability. Once the items arrive, we will carefully package them and send them out to you.
How do I book my delivery date?
Once your order is complete — all the live items in your order have arrived at our Malta warehouse — you book your delivery date yourself from your order tracking link. The delivery you book completes your order. You don't need to wait for us to contact you.
If you can't yet select a date, it means at least one of your items hasn't fully arrived. Discontinued or unavailable items won't hold up your booking — they're set aside. Check your tracking link again in a few days, or contact us if you think everything should be in.
What if I can't make the delivery date?
No problem — you can reschedule your delivery via your tracking link up to 48 hours before the scheduled date. You also have the option to pick up the goods from our warehouse, or have someone receive the delivery on your behalf. If your change is less than 48 hours away, please contact us and we'll do our best to help.
Can I move my delivery appointment to the following week?
Yes, you can choose a later delivery date via your tracking link. That said, we encourage you to take delivery as soon as possible because of our storage constraints.
I live in an apartment block. Will you deliver to my flat?
Our delivery service covers the ground floor only. If you require delivery to a higher floor, you will need to make arrangements with a lifting company and coordinate the delivery schedule with our delivery department. Any expenses related to lifting services will be your responsibility. On the day, our delivery team will load your goods onto the lifter at street level — unloading from the lifter into your apartment or terrace is normally handled by you (or the lifter company/helpers you arrange).
Do you provide a lifter service?
No, you will need to make arrangements with a lifting company and coordinate the delivery schedule with our delivery department. Any expenses related to lifting services will be your responsibility. Our delivery team will load your goods onto the lifter at street level; unloading at the top is normally handled by you or the lifter company.
I live in Gozo. Do you deliver?
Gozo deliveries are normally scheduled once a week.
When can I collect my goods?
As soon as you receive the Order Update saying that your items have arrived, you can come to our warehouse to collect them. You don't have to wait for your whole order — you're welcome to collect items as they arrive (partial collection), and book a delivery for the rest once your order is complete if you prefer.
I paid for delivery during checkout, but not all my items have arrived yet. What happens?
Your delivery is booked once your order is complete — once all your live items are in at our warehouse, you'll be able to book your delivery date from your tracking link, and that single delivery completes your order.
If you'd like some items sooner, you're welcome to collect the ones that have already arrived from our warehouse, free of charge (partial collection), then have the rest delivered once everything is in.
I paid the delivery charge, but I'd rather collect the order when it arrives. Is that possible?
Certainly! Kindly inform us in advance if you intend to collect your goods to ensure that we have everything ready for a hassle-free collection at our office. You will also receive a store credit for the delivery fee if you decide not to have the items delivered. You can collect your order within our opening hours.
Do you offer delivery from other stores in Sicily?
We are thrilled to offer collection services from popular stores like Tecnomat, Euronics, Maisons Du Monde, H&M, Mediaworld and Apple Store Catania. Our fees are 25% of the total order value, subject to a minimum fee of €100.
eg: Your order value is €1000, our fee would be €250. Your order value is €100, our fee would be €100 (the minimum). This charge also covers local delivery to the ground floor from Monday to Friday during our normal hours. The procedure to make your order would be as follows: place your order with the store online. You may only order products that can be collected from the Catania store once you have placed and paid for your order. Send us a copy of the order confirmation. Please remember that our service fee does not cover returns to the supplier. If you need help with returns, additional charges will be added. We do not offer warranty coverage for the items, so we recommend securing insurance to protect your goods during transportation.
